AVAILABLE FOR FOSTER OR ADOPTION!!

Hurley would love a foster home (only dog in the house), and a permanent home

Hurley is a 4 year old handsome hunk of an American Bully with a lot of love to give!  We think he is an Olde English Bulldog/American Staffordshire Terrier mix.  He is a perfect bully size at 54 lbs, and whenever our volunteers walk him, everyone has to stop and say hello to this sweet, handsome boy.  Hurley was neglected by his original family and taken to the shelter when his family could no longer care for him.  He appears to have had chronic allergies, most likely to food, that went untreated for four years. Hurley is on the mend and eating the proper type of food, and would love to be part of a loving family.  He adores people, but would prefer to be the only dog in the home. He has been working with Randy Davis of Argos Dog Training, as he can be reactive to dogs when he is on a leash, and his adoption includes follow up training with Randy.  His adoption fee of $150.00 also includes his neuter, current vaccinations, microchip. For an adoption application, visit http://spotsavespets.org/adoption-application-dogs/ or email SPOT at info@spotsavespets.org to meet Hurley!

About SPOT (Saving Pets One at a Time)

About Our Rescue Group...

SPOT was created to fill the need to save animals who “fall through the cracks” in our sheltering system. Local shelters are overwhelmed—they receive so many strays and owner turn-ins that they run out of space and have to kill thousands of animals each year. The majority of these animals are healthy and simply need to be placed into a home. Others are medical cases which require some work, but do not have life-threatening diseases or injuries. And a few have some moderate behavior issues; we work with specialists to correct these behaviors before finding them their forever home. The bottom line is SPOT can save these lives.

Come Meet Our Pets...

All of the SPOT pets are in foster homes. To meet an animal, please email us. We can tell you when the next adoption event at a local pet store will be held, or we can set up a time to meet with you.

Our Adoption Process...

SPOT adopts puppies less than 1 year- $325, dogs 1-5 yr- $225, 6 yr- $150. Our kittens are $125 and teenagers and adults are much less. We often have low pricing during kitten season.
We ask you to complete an adoption application. A home check will be scheduled to be sure there are no inadvertent dangers in your home or yard. A meet and greet will be arranged so that your whole family can meet your new pet before adopting him/her. We want to make sure it is a good fit since it is a commitment for the animal’s lifetime.
