Dabney's Story...
Dabney is a happy go lucky dachshund mix that weighs 24 pounds and is a little over one year old. He is just a little bigger than an average dachshund. A unique fawn colored coat and a wonderful spirit are just a few things that set him apart. He plays with all the dogs here and has fun with them all! He is quiet boy so an apartment situation would be great for him. He is attentive and wants to be with his master. Dabney is heartworm negative, up to date on all his shots, microchipped, crate trained and he walks well on the leash. If you are interested in meeting Dabney, it starts with you going on line and filling out our adoption application. You can find it at cedarfarmrescue.com. After you have filled it out and submitted it, please call us to set up a time for you to meet him. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have concerning the adoption process or Dabney. He is a great dog looking for a great home. 42852

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dabney, a Mocksville Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Mocksville, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Mocksville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mocksville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mocksville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mocksville paves the way for another one to be saved.
