Facts about Candy

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Brown Tabby
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 11526737
  • Hair: Short

I was adopted in March 2013 when I was almost a year old and recently returned at the end of May 2017 due to my owner feeling like she couldn’t afford to keep and take care of me. Unfortunately she did have me declawed on my front paws. I am approx. 5 years old.

Initially I was not a happy cat – it was a big change after being in a home for 4 years and being the only cat. I still am not fond of other cats and will hiss if they get too close, but I want to come out of my cage and explore the adoption center. I do like being petted, especially under my chin. I am not a fan of the full body pet though, so just a little bit at a time please.

My true personality should come out as I get more accustomed to being here at the adoption center and hopefully I will learn to get along peacefully with the other cats. I do not like dogs. (My owner got dogs after she adopted me and I was not a fan!) I would probably do best with older children and may like a quiet, calm home.

My adoption fee is $75. I have been spayed, micro chipped, tested negative for FELV/FIV, and vaccinated for feline distemper and rabies.

You can see me at our Adoption Center at 8901 E Trent, Ste 101 (corner of Argonne and Trent, next to Albertson's) or call 893-9829 for more information.

About Partners for Pets

About Our Rescue Group...

Our Mission

The goal of Partners for Pets is to eliminate euthanasia of healthy, adoptable pets; to promote sterilization surgeries for dogs and cats to reduce the number of animals born each year; to work collaboratively with local shelters in a foster/adoption program; and to educate the community about the importance of sterilization, permanent identification, and of making a lifetime commitment

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our main adoption center is located on the corner of Trent and Argonne in the Spokane Valley. We are open Wednesday through Friday, 3pm-7pm; Saturday, 11am-6pm; and Sunday, 12pm-5pm. We also have a small adoption center at the Petsmart on the corner of Sullivan and Broadway. On most Saturdays, we also show some of our adoptable animals at the Petco on Division and Francis.

Our Adoption Process...

Please contact the foster parent at the phone number listed with each animal to learn more about him/her. If you are interested in adopting, there is a brief adoption application to fill out. Once the application is turned in, you will be approved or denied within about 24 hours. Our adoption fee is $75 for cats/kittens, $80 for dogs, and $90 for puppies, unless otherwise noted in the animals description. Also, our cats must be indoor only and absolutely cannot be declawed!
