Alice is a 2-year-old Australian cattle dog mix who weighs 52 lbs. She is a sweet and active girl and would do best in a home where she has a job and an outlet. She is a quick learner and knows commands. She just needs someone to harness her focus. She loves other dogs as long as they meet properly off-leash first. She has herding tendencies and should not go to a home with very young children or senior dogs. Her foster has taught her to coexist with cats. Alice loves the agility course in her foster home, and loves to play with toys. She is being fostered with a trainer who is working on leash walking with her on a halti.

Alice is very intelligent and has a very expressive face - her whole body smiles and wags with joy when she sees her people. Alice is housebroken and does great in a crate. Her ideal family would be active and understanding of the needs and behaviors of herding dogs.

Alice is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative and up-to-date on vaccines and preventives.

About Ewenity Farm Herding Dog Haven

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small rescue organization located in Southwest Florida. Being small helps us give more one on one attention to individual dogs and their needs. Rescued dogs are kept in our homes and treated as our own. Herding dogs are unique. They are a highly intelligent and require much of the owner’s attention. The dogs are evaluated, when they come into the rescue, for any temperament and health issues. Then they are given basic obedience, socialization and rehabilitation as it is necessary.

It is our sole purpose to find forever homes for these loving, wonderful dogs that have been discarded through no fault of their own. All adopted dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, micro-chipped, and on flea and heartworm preventative.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Since all rescue dogs live in our homes with us or in foster homes, you will need to travel to meet any dog you might want to adopt.

You will need to contact Ewenity Farms HDH to make arrangements to meet the rescue dog.

Our Adoption Process...

We require potential adopters to fill out an Adoption Application. When that is approved we can arrange for the prospective adopter to meet the dog they are interested in. We do require an adoption contract to be signed at time of adoption. We conduct home visits. There is an adoption fee that is usually around $250 per dog to cover any expenses we have incurred. We do have dogs located at qualified fosters throughout the state and also out of state.
