Kit's Story...
Hi I am Kit! I am a 9 week old chiweenie. I love to cuddle and play. I am a little more shy than my sister Dottie. I do like toys and playing but I tend to like to chill in your lap more. Like all babies I will need patience and consistency to master social manners and potty training. Adoption fee is $225 it includes spay/neuter, annual vaccinations, rabies license, microchip, dewormer, heart worm preventative for the month, vet exam. Please go like our Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/barkandroll. Then under the 3rd tab (my forms) you can complete an adoption application. Follow us on instagram/twitter @barkandrollrc to see more pictures of me as well as other dogs in our rescue.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kit, a Baton Rouge Chihuahua/Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
