Milo is one of those cats who imprints on the hearts of everyone he meets.

His foster won’t stop gushing about the love he gives. Cuddling is Milo’s favorite activity, besides filling the room with his happy purring. He often falls asleep with his head on his foster’s chest, and we like to think that he enjoys listening to a calming heartbeat. This cat is also full of fun surprises: he loves popping out of unexpected places to say hello, or hanging out on your shoulder in order to get a better view of the birds.

He may take some time to scope out some situations, but once he gathers his bearings, his personality blossoms, and the affection comes pouring in. Milo will do best as an only cat, and an understanding and patient friend is what he needs. We’d love to see him go home with someone who will appreciate how rewarding his companionship is.

If you’re looking for a true bond with your cat, clear off your lap, and open your heart to this affectionate young man.

Milo is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, and $50 to adopt.

Cat Town is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, formed by long term volunteers from Oakland Animal Services (OAS) and other Bay Area shelters. We have partnered with OAS to take the cats who are least likely to do well in a shelter setting. About Cat Town

About Our Rescue Group...

Cat Town is a 501(c)(3) cat rescue organization based in Oakland, CA. Formed by volunteers of Oakland Animal Services (OAS) (Oakland's municipal shelter), our mission is to find homes for the cats least likely to be adopted from OAS because they can't handle the stress of the shelter environment. By getting these cats into foster homes, they can relax and show their true personalities to potential adopters. We focus on older semi-feral kittens, stressed, shy or undersocialized cats, and cats who are older and/or have special needs. We are a relatively new organization and are all-volunteer run. We operate on a shoestring budget so can always use financial donations, as well as food, litter and other supplies. We are always looking for great foster homes and volunteers for everything that we do. Helping these vulnerable cats is pure joy! Please contact us at info@cattownoakland.org to get involved.

Come Meet Our Pets...

All of our cats are in foster homes, mostly in Oakland, CA, but some are in surrounding cities. Our fosters are generally very flexible about scheduling cat introductions.

Our Adoption Process...

All of our cats are in foster homes, mostly in Oakland, CA, or other nearby cities. We will talk to you by phone to make sure the cat sounds like a good fit for your home before setting up an introduction in the foster home. We have a pretty straightforward adoption application, which you will be asked to complete only after you have met a cat who you want to adopt. Our adoption fees for kittens and cats up to age 7 are $50 for a single cat or $75 for pair; cats age 8 an older are $35 for a single cat or $50 for a pair. All cats are spayed/neutered, current on their vaccinations and microchipped. Cats age six months or older are tested for FIV/FeLV.
