Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Zacchaeus is an ancient name; a biblical name. But I am anything but ancient! I’m about a year and a half old, and a little bigger than your average Beagle at 35 pounds. I’m not overweight, just a bigger guy. I have a ton of energy, and love to run and play with my foster brothers. It’s my favorite thing to do! We chase each other around and play constantly. I get along with all the other dogs here, and hope my forever home has buddies for me to play with too!
I do well in the crate when foster mom isn’t home and at night, and I ride well in the car. I listen pretty well, and am learning new things every day. I am doing great at house training, although I do tend to want to mark my territory. Mom is “curing” me of that with use of a belly band (doggy diaper) I am learning fast because I don’t like wearing it!
I don’t know if the original Zacchaeus had as much energy as I do. Rumor has it that he climbed a tree; I haven’t done that yet, but I do need room to run and play, and either a secure fence or a dog park would be great. I’m an attention kind of hound, and would thrive with lots of one on one attention. I’d also be ok with kids and other dogs in the house. Not so sure about cats though, because I just want to chase them. They are like real live toys!
Do you think there is room in your house for me? I promise to love you forever!!
