My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sully is a local dog who is being returned to us (he was adopted in 2011) due to changes in his family. He is a 7 year old mixed breed pup, maybe some Terrier and/or Beagle. He is about 25 lbs. He has been living with his fur brother but when the family had human children, Sully did not adapt well to the change in his family. When he meets new dogs he can be timid for a bit but then comes around – the same with new people, especially men. Sully loves the car and is OK around water but is not a swimmer.

Sully’s family thinks his ideal home is with older kids or adults only. He loves to run around the fenced yard and patrol for critters. He likely would chase cats because he chases squirrels and birds in the yard.

Sully’s sweetness shines when he is snuggling with the person/people he loves. He is so lovable once he warms up to you. He likes being at home when it’s quiet and gets a little scared by sudden movements and loud noises. He is fully housetrained and has had some obedience training. He will sit and (sometimes) come. He uses a gentle leader when walking to help control his pulling.

Do you have that quiet spot that Sully craves?

To learn more about Lucky Pup Rescue, please visit our website: www.luckypuprescue.org. If you have interest in any of our dogs, please fill out the application and we'll work with you to find a great match for your family: http://www.luckypuprescue.org/#!adoption-application/c1aw8.

Please note, we do not have a physical facility where our dogs are housed, they are cared for in our network of wonderful foster homes throughout New England. If you find a dog you would like to meet, our expectation is that, once approved, you will travel to meet the dog in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.

Thank you for considering rescue!
