My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maisey is barely a year old and has already lived a full life! A couple months ago this little Red & White female was found abandoned in the back yard when her family moved away. She gave birth a litter of 7 puppies the following day! All of her babes are tri colored except one little black & tan boy. Everyone is wondering who the Daddy(s) is, but Maisey is not telling! Maisey was spayed after the pups were weaned and she is now ready to find a new forever home that will keep her safe and well loved for the rest of her life! Maisey is 13+ inches tall and weighs 21 pounds.

Maisey is housebroken with the use of a dog door. She is rarely crated because her foster family are retired. She has been known to steal an unguarded pencil from a cross word book but has generally been non-destructive. She had a few accidents when she first arrived but was treated for a bladder infection and has had no further problems.

As Maisey started feeling better, her true self began appearing. She is a playful young female who loves getting anyone in the pack to wrestle with her or play tug. If no one is handy, she will throw toys in the air and chase them all by herself. She loves chasing after critters in the yard and has been found digging for all she is worth to catch a mole that was burrowing under the grass! She has a good bay that she uses to alert the pack to invaders, but has a funny little yelp when on the trail of a scent.

She loves to cuddle when her work on patrol has been completed. She usually sleeps on a dog bed in the master bedroom unless there are storms in the area. When the thunder roars, she will join the entire pack and to sleep on her foster Mom’s head! Maisey will do best with a canine companion, if everyone in the family works. Young beagles are rarely good as only dogs in a family. Maisey is a sweetheart who deserves the best life can offer! Apply before someone else snaps her up!
