Introducing Prince! This twelve-year-old Golden Retriever deserves nothing but the royal treatment. He spent much of his life being confined to a small area in the house and was forced outside at night. No more, we declare!

Prince came to us malnourished and with very bad teeth. He has since had thorough dental care and is slowly gaining weight. As his health improves, so does his personality shine! He is a people-oriented sweetheart--nothing pleases him more than spending his day with you, watching the neighborhood or chasing bunnies in the yard. In his down time, he enjoys peanut butter, ice cream, and bully sticks; and he dances at mealtimes!

Befitting of his royal status, here are some of the things Prince requires in his forever home:

1. Someone who is home more often than not.

2. An understanding that he must sleep in your bed and lounge on your sofa.

3. Free roam of the house at all times.

4. No other dogs (he is afraid of them).

5. No young children (he has a history of resource guarding, although it has greatly diminished).

6. A physically fenced yard.

We think this handsome, affectionate, funny, loyal, and feisty boy is just perfect. Let us know if you would like to make his royal acquaintance! Prince is being fostered in Fargo, and his adoption fee is $175.

About Retrieve a Golden of the Midwest

About Our Rescue Group...

Since 1985, RAGOM has rescued and rehomed more than 8,500 Golden Retrievers and Golden Retriever mixes. In 2017, RAGOM adopted a new name—Retrieve a Golden of the Midwest—to reflect our dedication to expand our rescue efforts from our original home state of Minnesota to include Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, and western Wisconsin.

RAGOM rescues, fosters, and finds forever homes for Golden Retrievers and Golden mixes in need. These principles represent the RAGOM culture:

Values: In all our actions, our primary values are passion and integrity.

Passion: We have a passion to find loving and forever homes for all Goldens and Golden mixes.

Integrity: We value integrity in our use of resources and in our interactions with volunteers, adopters, and donors. We are transparent in our decision-making and operate with each dog’s best interests in mind.

We are a foster-based rescue and hold regular meet-and-greet events* in four states. Please visit ragom.org/events for our events calendar.
