Harley - ADOPTED!'s Story...
Harley arrived in Ontario on November 13/05. He is one of the handsomest hounds I have ever seen. He has a very gentle disposition, he is great with all other dogs and even cats. He loves to play with both people and other dogs. He is house trained, he knows when to tell you he has to go outside. He reminds me of a big puppy. He does need some basic obedience and some training with a gentle leader when walking. Other than that, we have not seen any other behaviours that could cause concern. Harley will make a wonderful companion and pet for a family willing to train him and love him. He is young, between 1 - 2 yrs old. We believe he is part bloodhound, he has that wonderful hound voice!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harley - ADOPTED!, a Ontario Bloodhound/Black and Tan Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bloodhound/Black and Tan Coonhound for sale in Ontario, or seeking a Bloodhound/Black and Tan Coonhound dog from a breeder in Ontario.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ontario already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ontario breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bloodhound/Black and Tan Coonhound breeders who help with Bloodhound/Black and Tan Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ontario paves the way for another one to be saved.
