Jasper Adopted's Story...

FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED! Jasper lost his home through no fault of his own and is currently in a kennel in Clinton, Ontario. If you can help Jasper, please contact us ASAP!

Jasper is a very loving energetic young boy looking for his forever home.  He loves to go for car rides, walks, runs and especially loves the dog park!  He loves other dogs so he would do well in a home who has another young dog to help wear him out.  Jasper is responding really well to training.  He has mastered sit, lie down, paw, leave it, fetch and he is crate trained.  He is very affectionate and goofy and just wants to please his owners (mainly because he loves the hugs and pets he gets when he is a good boy!). Jasper will do well with older children that love to play.   Jasper is very good on leash with his gentle leader for both walks and runs.  As Jasper is a Bloodhound he will require a fully fenced yard.  Jasper will make a great addition to any active family.  You can’t help but smile when you see him or when you hear his goofy bark!  Jasper is currently fostered in Windsor, Ontario and he's ready to meet his forever family.

Please Note:  We are all volunteers and busy taking care of our foster dogs so please take the time to fill out our on-line adoption application if you are interested in more information about any of the hounds that we have for adoption. Filling out our application does not obligate you to adopt in any way.  It does, however, help us to determine if the dog that your interested in would be a good match for your family and lifestyle.

All of our dogs are fully vetted.  They have been vaccinated, altered, microchipped and heartworm tested and on prevention.

ADOPTION FEE:  $375.00

LOCATION:    Jasper is currently at a kennel in Clinton, Ontario. With the help of volunteers, transportation to his forever or foster home can possibly be arranged.  Don't let distance deter you!

If you would like to give this beautiful boy a forever home please fill out our on line adoption application at

Bloodhounds require A SECURELY
FENCED YARD. Invisible/underground electric fences don't work on these dogs. They get on a scent and are totally oblivious to anything else around them.....including traffic. Bloodhounds don't tie or chain well either. They are fine for apartment living as long as they get enough exercise.
All of our dogs are adopted to be 'in-the-house' family members. Bloodhounds are not for everyone, they can't roam free and can't be walked off leash.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jasper Adopted, a Ontario Bloodhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bloodhound for sale in Ontario, or seeking a Bloodhound dog from a breeder in Ontario.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ontario already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ontario breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bloodhound breeders who help with Bloodhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ontario paves the way for another one to be saved.
