Murphy Adopted's Story...

Murphy is great with other dogs and cats. He's well behaved in the house and is good on a leash. Murphy has just entered foster care and is settling into his foster home. We'll be updating soon.

Please Note:  We are all volunteers and busy taking care of our foster dogs so please take the time to fill out our on-line adoption application if you are interested in more information about any of the hounds that we have for adoption. Filling out our application does not obligate you to adopt in any way.  It does, however, help us to determine if the dog that your interested in would be a good match for your family and lifestyle.

All of our dogs are fully vetted.  They have been vaccinated, altered, microchipped and heartworm tested and on prevention.

ADOPTION FEE:  $350.00

LOCATION:    Murphy is currently in foster care in Boothwyn, Pensylvania.  With the help of volunteers, transportation to his forever home can possibly be arranged.  Don't let distance deter you!

If you would like to give this beautiful boy a forever home please fill out our on line adoption application at

Bloodhounds require A SECURELY
FENCED YARD. Invisible/underground electric fences don't work on these dogs. They get on a scent and are totally oblivious to anything else around them.....including traffic. Bloodhounds don't tie or chain well either. They are fine for apartment living as long as they get enough exercise.
All of our dogs are adopted to be 'in-the-house' family members. Bloodhounds are not for everyone, they can't roam free and can't be walked off leash

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Murphy Adopted, a Ontario Bloodhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bloodhound for sale in Ontario, or seeking a Bloodhound dog from a breeder in Ontario.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ontario already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ontario breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bloodhound breeders who help with Bloodhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ontario paves the way for another one to be saved.
