Diamond - ADOPTED's Story...

DIAMONDS are a girl's best friend! And what a gem Diamond is!

At 1 1/2 years old, Diamond's baby-making days are done. She's ready to curl up on your lap and make herself available for all of the snuggles and cuddles that can't help but come her way. For a dog that has never known a life indoors, she found the couch as soon as she walked in the door and has been making up for lost time ever since.

She just loves hearing the sound of her name and being talked to, preferably while being petted.

Diamond has a laid back, easy going disposition and gets along famously with the dogs and cat in her foster home.

She has only been in foster care a short while and has, for the most part, learned to potty outside.

In the yard, Diamond loves to run around and chase a ball and is learning that if she brings the ball back, it all starts all over again. She trots effortlessly after whatever has caught her attention but when she decides to really run, look out! She's flies like the wind.

Diamond is shy around new people but warms up quickly and slowly stretches up to meet face to face. She's up to date on all of her shots and ready to find a forever home of her own. With a little time and training, her diminuitive size and gentle personality would probably make her a wonderful therapy dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Diamond - ADOPTED, a Ontario Bluetick Coonhound/Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bluetick Coonhound/Coonhound for sale in Ontario, or seeking a Bluetick Coonhound/Coonhound dog from a breeder in Ontario.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ontario already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ontario breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bluetick Coonhound/Coonhound breeders who help with Bluetick Coonhound/Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ontario paves the way for another one to be saved.
