Snoopy-ADOPTED!'s Story...
Fostered in Guelph, Ontario

Snoopy was a neglected outside dog for many years until he was rescued, and is now looking for a loving retirement home with a comfy couch and someone who will take him for lots of walks! Snoopy is house trained, well behaved in the house and on leash, and good with other dogs and cats. He has some issues with being handled and with being disturbed while sleeping, and gets stressed by too much commotion and noise around him. For this reason he needs a quiet home with no hyper young dogs and no children under 12. Snoopy has a sensitive stomach and is currently on a special diet. Like all hounds, Snoopy will follow his nose when an interesting scent comes around and can only run off leash in a securely fenced area.

If you have room in your home and heart for a lovable hound like Snoopy, please fill out our online adoption application or e-mail houndrescue@sympatico.ca.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Snoopy-ADOPTED!, a Ontario Foxhound/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Foxhound/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Ontario, or seeking a Foxhound/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Ontario.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ontario already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ontario breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Foxhound/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Foxhound/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ontario paves the way for another one to be saved.
