Blue's Story...

Blue is an adorable friendly, outgoing companion with good house manners. Her calm social demeanour always makes people smile as she gladly shows her charm by sitting and freely giving you her paw! She is a bundle of goofy enthusiasm when anticipating a walk or a car ride.

She bonds incredibly strongly with her special person and is learning to become more independent, and needs an owner who will spend time to work with her. Blue is one splendid 74 lb, 2 year old Bluetick whose previous owner had moved so she sometimes gets worried that she'd be left alone for too long and likes to be near you.

Blue is crate trained. She sleeps soundly through the night, not bothered by noises or thunderstorms, and will let you know if she needs to go out! She enjoys being groomed, exploring in the fenced yard, lounging on the patio or living room, along with her 2 foster sibling hounds! They playfully share toys, and she walks well alongside them on a harness-lead. When meeting some smaller active dogs Blue can be shy, and it's unknown how she is around children, or cats. She had a temporary health concern when she arrived, but has recovered well in a short time after a little TLC.

She is learning to sit patiently before receiving her meals. Blue is well mannered around her people while they dine, sits still beside her foster siblings waiting for a wee treat, but would like to share her sibling hounds meals sometimes so it's best that she dines independently, for now. Over all, this happy girl has so much to offer and just wants to be loved in return.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blue, a Ontario Coonhound/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Coonhound/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Ontario, or seeking a Coonhound/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Ontario.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ontario already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ontario breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Coonhound/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Coonhound/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ontario paves the way for another one to be saved.
