Konar's Story...
Hi everyone! My name is Konar. I came to the shelter with my buddy Sheena when our owner could no longer take care of us due to allergies (theirs not ours!). I've been settling into shelter life, I've been enjoying meeting new cat friends and snuggle time with the volunteers is pretty cool! I am missing a home of my own. I'm ready to find my next hooman and make him/her my very best buddy! I'd love to find a home that could also take my friend Sheena but we are okay to go to new homes on our own if one cat is all you're looking for! Come by the shelter and meet me today! Please visit www.dupageco.org/animalcontrol for more details or call 630-407-2800.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Konar, a Wheaton Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Wheaton, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Wheaton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wheaton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wheaton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wheaton paves the way for another one to be saved.
