Macy's Story...
It's hard for us to admit this because we have met so many great dogs...but Macy might be the best one yet! She's just a total dream. Macy is a 2 year old pit bull mix who came to ACL after spending 7 whole months in an overcrowded facility elsewhere in the city. Most dogs would have lost their marbles in that environment, but not Macy! She earned the attention of the staff and volunteers over there who recognized that Macy was special. They reached out to us to help her find her forever home, and once we met Macy, we knew she was a shining star. Macy is an easygoing, even-tempered lady who enjoys chew toys, going for walks, and snuggling in equal measure. She's great with other dogs and she doesn't seem to mind cats much, either! She'll do well in any home that has time to devote to her, whether it's with kids, cats, dogs, or by herself. Macy is the perfect dog to take to the dog park or to sit with you on the porch while you sip your coffee. The only bad thing we can say about Macy is...she won't be with us forever! Can she be with you instead?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Macy, a Oak Park Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Oak Park, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Oak Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oak Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oak Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oak Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
