Adoption fee: $300
Diesel is an amazing boy that was recently surrendered to FVHA and he is now looking for his forever home. Diesel is used to being the only dog in the house and wouldn't do well with small dogs or cats. Our special boy is in need of a family that is just as special and amazing as him. Before coming to FVHA it was discovered the Diesel had elbow dysplasia, along with some early stage arthritis in the elbow. In March it was discovered that Diesel had bilateral hip dysplasia and a bit of arthritis in his hip joints as well. Diesel doesn't let any of this slow him down and he still loves to take walks, he just prefers if they are a bit shorter. The great family that takes Diesel should keep in contact with a vet to monitor potential pain and to determine if any additional care would be needed.
We always recommend crate training, exercise, playtime, and a regular schedule for potty breaks when bringing a new dog into your home. Adjustment takes time for both you and your new family member, so remember to be patient and enjoy this new and exciting time!
Included in the adoption fee are rabies & distemper vaccinations, heartworm testing, deworming, spay or neuter surgery.
