Rocky's Story...
We would like you to meet Rocky.

Rocky was found as a stray and when his owners were found through his microchip, they said they did not want him back so Rocky is looking for a family that will treasure him forever! Rocky is a very handsome 1 year old Australian Shepherd mix. He is a wonderful boy that is good with everyone he meets, kids, cats and dogs. Rocky has a very submissive personality so he may not be well suited for an overly dominant dog in the house. Rocky loves to play and run around and would do best in an active home that can run out that Aussie energy. He is so smart and loving! Rocky's new family is sure to be a lucky one.

If you have room in your home and heart for Rocky, please visit www.because4paws.org and fill out an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky, a Oxford Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Oxford, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Oxford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oxford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oxford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oxford paves the way for another one to be saved.
