Keane's Story...
Keane (pronounced like Keen) is one of four boy kittens searching for a new home! Now, eleven weeks old (DOB: 3/27/2017), Keane has been neutered, received two sets of vaccinations and is microchipped! He has spent the last two weeks in foster care with his siblings and two adult cats.

Here's what his foster Mom has to say about him: "Keane is adorably tiny and quite independent. He likes to nap in really weird places like on top of a stuffed cow that's about the same size as he is or curled up inside the neck hole of my travel pillow. He's much more laid-back than his siblings, but still pretty playful. "

Keane and his siblings would love to find a new family. To meet them, stop by the shelter!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Keane, a Germantown Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Germantown, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Germantown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Germantown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Germantown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Germantown paves the way for another one to be saved.
