Basil's Story...
Hi! My name is Basil and I am an orange male who was born mid-April 2017. I’ll be going in for my check up soon and will be ready to be adopted. I’m a fun and playful kitten, but I still like to sleep a lot too. I live with my 2 sisters Cassia and Sage, and several other cats and a large dog in my foster home. I only really play with my sisters. I’m a little nervous around the other cats and the dog. I also live with three kids ages 14, 12, & 11 and enjoy playing with them. I come with a neuter certificate to a local vet practice. Please note: All cats and kittens require an on-line adoption application be completed and sent BEFORE consideration for adoption can take place. On-line applications at www.BillericaCatCareCoalition.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Basil, a N. Billerica Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in N. Billerica, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in N. Billerica.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in N. Billerica already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a N. Billerica breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in N. Billerica paves the way for another one to be saved.
