Whiskey is a fun-loving Catahoula mix that will do well with an equal amount of indoor/outdoor time. He loves to run fast and jump high, but when he is indoors, he is calm and lays down. He is an attention hog that will sit at your feet and stare into your eyes while you pet him. He will also push past anyone or anything else you are giving attention to. If that's not enough, he will crawl into your lap. He likes his belly rubbed. He is easily trained, and highly treat oriented. I have not found him to chew anything, except that he got into a trash bag once. My only caution flag is that he is a spontaneous growler, typically toward younger children and males. He seems to like females - me, my mom in her 60's, and my 15 year old daughter. He growled at the male vet until he got treats and gained trust. He growled at the female assistant, when she came near me and him, but he stopped as soon as she hushed him. I have never seen him snap. He can get a little strong when he jumps, but responds well when trained not to. He will be someone's best friend - that's what is in his eyes.

The adoption fee includes vaccinations, bordetella, deworming, rabies, spay/neuter and microchip. There is an additional $10.99 fee for Home Again for a lifetime registration of the microchip. If adopting a puppy, the rabies and spay/neuter will be done at the same time by our vet once they are 4 months old and billed to us. It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.
