My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Louie is a purebred Maltese boy with a multi-faceted personality and a big heart. He loves a good adventure, runs with abandon through the house and plays tug of war with his much larger canine foster brother. Still, Louie is probably happiest being held, snuggled, kissed and loved. He is truly a romantic at heart and will look soulfully into his person's eyes. Louie bonds quickly and deeply.

Louie grew up with children and could live with pre-teen or older kids again as long as they are respectful of him. He may also live happily with another dog or as a one and only. Cats are unknown but given his laid back personality, we are optimistic he could form a kitty love match as well.

Louie has special needs. He is visually impaired due to to previously untreated diabetes. He is now well controlled on two injections of insulin per day.
