Heather's Story...
JOY TO THE WORLD! ADOPT ME!! Heather doen't make a good first impression. She is a big puppy and her energy can be intimidating. But she is smart and eager to please and an understanding, patient owner can give her the direction she wants and needs. She can be calm and affectionate. She loves to cuddle and be petted. She enjoys her walks and walks well on a leash. She was found, limping, in the parking lot of an apartment complex, apparently looking for her owners. No one claimed her and she was brought to the shelter. She had a broken leg which was surgically repaired and has healed and she is ready to find a REAL home. She likes other dogs, is good with kids and will be a loving and faithful companion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Heather, a El Cajon Weimaraner/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Weimaraner/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Weimaraner/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Weimaraner/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Weimaraner/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
