Brandy's Story...
Brandy is a big cuddle bug, she loves to be next to you always. She is working on her manners and does great with other dogs. She is not reactive towards cats and will do best with older children. Brandy will need an active home who will take her on walks, play outside with her, and drain her energy. She is a beautiful girl with the softest ears and will make a great addition to the right family.

Brandy's adoption fee is $175; she is microchipped, spayed, and up to date on vaccines. Some of our pets are in foster care. If you are interested in a specific pet, please contact the shelter at (618) 939-7389 to arrange a meeting.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brandy, a Columbia Treeing Walker Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Treeing Walker Coonhound for sale in Columbia, or seeking a Treeing Walker Coonhound dog from a breeder in Columbia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Treeing Walker Coonhound breeders who help with Treeing Walker Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbia paves the way for another one to be saved.
