Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Howdy, everyone! Pippin here. I arrived at rescue in February and won over everyone’s heart at an impromptu vol day … then I just kind of disappeared from rescue. Why? I had those nasty heartworms and needed fast kill, which means I needed a few rounds of treatment and a lot of crate rest. So, off to foster care I went with former GA JRT rescues, Cobb and Carson, to heal and now I’m back at rescue.
My history? Well, from what they know about me, my mom could no longer care for me, so she gave me to a “trusted friend” with whom she thought I would be safe. Nope! That friend turned me into kill shelter. Why? No one seems to know as I am a perfect, little guy. No, seriously … perfect! Am I a Jack Russell? Sure! But I have a wonderful temperament — I absolutely love everyone I meet and am a bit of a snuggle-bug. Want a buddy by your side? Look no further, I’m you’re guy! I’m all about affection, belly rubs, kisses and quality time.
I get along with most dogs, but I can be a little territorial about humans, so I’ll need to meet your dogs and time to settle in and see how we do together.
So, what’s up now? I just finished my heartworm treatment. I’ll need to be retested soon to make sure everything is good, but I’m now ready to roll!
Those other details? I’m around 2 years old and 16 lbs. of puddin’ pop muscle! I’m also house trained and I love sleeping in a crate.
