Aria (and Luna)'s Story...
Aria and Luna (see separate listing) are 1 year old spayed sisters. They love to play together and they love each other. Both were surrendered by their owner to the Fairfax County Animal Shelter and were later transferred to the City's Shelter to help with spacial constraints. Both are sweet young ladies who very much want to find a new loving home where they could continue to enjoy each other’s company as well as the companionship of a new forever family and home. Luna and Aria are both current on their vaccinations, have been combo tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV, and have been dewormed. This bonded pair is a wonderful team!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Aria (and Luna), a Fairfax Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Fairfax, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Fairfax.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fairfax already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fairfax breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fairfax paves the way for another one to be saved.
