Facts about Lucy

  • Breed: Labrador Retriever Mix
  • Color: Black
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Lucy is the Great! She is black larger medium sized lab mix. Approximate age is 2-3 years. Lucy is an awesome companion. She will watch TV with you, cuddle in your lap, but also enjoys walks, hikes, and just time playing fetch. She is very loving and came to us very malnourished and starved about 7 months ago and really needed time to be socialized more with people. She has learned to trust people and is very loving. She has done well with my kids, but I would use caution with very small children as she doesn't like tight hugs or careless petting. She is great with other dogs, not sure about cats. Walks well on a leash. She is housebroken, crate trained, and fully vetted.

About Recycled Tails

About Our Rescue Group...

Recycled Tails was created by Heidi Evans in 2011 to continue her life long dream of rescuing animals of all shapes and sizes.

We have our 501c3 non-profit status and are always recruiting foster homes. We rescue unwanted pets including dogs, other domestic pets and barnyard friends (including chickens!) and work to find them their new forever homes.

We have a program to help pet owners who need to rehome their pets to keep their pets in their homes until a new home can be found. We can provide vet care/food/training to qualified pet owners who have a reason to rehome their pet in order to allow the pet to stay in the home as long as possible. Our goal is to place the pet right from one home to another.

We believe education can be the key to successful pet ownership. Heidi has spoken at schools and other programs to young adults about the meaning of owning a pet and all of the requirements that go along with it. If we can educate our youth it will benefit the future of pet ownership overall. If you would like to learn more about this please email us.
