My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

“CHARLIE BROWN” is a cute, friendly, sociable, little brown Toy Poodle boy! He comes to us from a groomer where the owner had dropped him off, but sadly they never came back to get him nor were they ever found again.

Nothing more could be done. So Charlie Brown was facing being sent to the local dog pound where they would euthanize him as he desperately needed lots of Vet work including an expensive dental.

However, this groomer really loved Charlie Brown with his loving, sociable and funny personality. So she contacted the Twin Cities Poodle Club and then contacted us asking to take Charlie Brown, get his required vet work done so that he could find a good, loving, forever more family. A family that will not leave him behind… unwanted.

Charlie Brown is a very nice and very lucky little boy who is now available for adoption.

We have found that he is very quiet, loving, gentle and greatly enjoys a lap to sit in. Once he gets to know you, he is fine with men and women. As pictured, Charlie Brown is also very good with all of our other Poodles.

Even with all the surgeries, Charlie Brown has been a very boy good in our home and will keep his kennel clean. If there is a problem, we use a belly band on him to remind him about keeping our home clean. Such a good boy!

Charlie Brown is about 9 inches tall. Our Vet feels that he is about 6 to 8 years old and is a chunky and healthy 8 1/2 pounds. He was Heartworm, Lymes and Ehrlichia tested negative, placed on a preventative, shots were given and he was wormed.

The two sections of missing hair on Charlie Brown’s back was caused by flea and tick preventative medications (drops). Because of Lymes disease (and I do NOT enjoy fleas), we always use Advantix II or Frontline plus. So, Charlie Brown will need to be on oral medications for flea and tick prevention.

Charlie Brown had experienced 3 hours of surgery to be neutered, a protruding umbilical hernia repaired and almost all of his teeth were removed.
A second surgery to remove his remaining teeth and fix his nasal fistulas was recently done.

Wow! Such an amazing little Poodle boy who has endured so much in his life, yet he is still loving, friendly (once he gets to know you) and enjoys all the attention he can get. Could you do that?

Charlie Brown needs a secure environment with a quiet, loving family who will love him forever more. Please, no children or large dogs.

His $300.00 adoption fee includes the $20.00 Minnesota state sales tax, his kennel, a new blanket, a bag of dog food, dog treats, doggie bed, toys, his leash, collar, a dog coat and helps pay for all of his expensive Vet work. Lots of good information to help your adoption start off on the right paw forward will be included.

While Charlie Brown’s Vet expenses were extremely high, donations have helped this little, special boy. Thank you to everyone who believes that we CAN make a difference in this world!
