Sunny's Story...
Sunny is a very loving cat. He is just 2 years old with a date of birth of 5/13/15. He was fostered in a home and Sunny would greet her every time she came home. He was super happy at meal time and would sit with her when she watched tv. He loved one on one playtime. Sunny could get over stimulated with play at which time she would pull her hand away and give him a stuffed toy to wrestle with. He responded to "no" at that time also. He was a great house cat and he is also happy and playful now at the shelter. He is social with other cats. Sunny has a beautiful shiny coat with short hair. He is litter box trained, neutered, and healthy. Sunny will make someone a wonderful companion and confidant.
This pet is available for adoption at the Humane Society of McCormick County for an adoption fee. To adopt, contact us 864-391-2349 or We are an all-volunteer 501c3 organization. To learn more, visit

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sunny, a McCormick Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in McCormick, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in McCormick.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in McCormick already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a McCormick breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in McCormick paves the way for another one to be saved.
