IKE's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

IKE's Story...
These little cuties, Ike and his brother Mike, came to LR from a shelter in the desert where they were found as strays. We're not sure what they're mixed with, maybe Basset Hound or Dachshund, who knows...but they sure are cute.

Ike is a sweetie and very adventurous. We took him to a doggie park already, where he roamed around and made friends with some remarkably big dogs. He is excellent with kids and is very excited when they give him belly rubs. We walk him to school daily, and he welcomes many 1st graders with a wagging tail. He is remarkably good on the leash and is already house trained. Ike does not like to be alone and has even jumped our baby gates twice just to be with us. Nevertheless, he realizes that this is wrong, so with a little bit of training, he will be stellar.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

IKE, a Pasadena Labrador Retriever/Basset Hound puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Basset Hound for sale in Pasadena, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Basset Hound puppy from a breeder in Pasadena.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pasadena already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pasadena breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Basset Hound breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pasadena paves the way for another one to be saved.
