Single, mature gal seeks forever home. My name is Sammy and I am about 8 years old. I'm a lab/retriever mix. I like long naps and comforting petting sessions. Not much is known about my background, but I’ve reached an age where I am ready to settle down with my forever family. I have SO much love to give. My foster family thinks I am perfect. I’m house trained and never had an accident at my foster home. I am content in a crate, but my foster mom says I don’t need it. I never get in to things and my personality is set to permanent chill. I love other animals and kids. At my foster home there are 2 young kids, 3 crazy cats, and a troublesome young golden retriever. Of all of them, I am the most laid back and in general I ignore them. Sometimes I let my inner pup out and play with the retriever. I’m good on a leash and I love to go for walks. I am always up for a road trip! As a mature gal, I have some minor issues…I don’t hear like I once did, but I hear the important stuff like the dinner bell and my name. Also, I may not have the best etiquette at the dinner bowl. I have a short tongue and it makes drinking and eating a little complicated, but don’t worry…I’m not messy and I definitely have this eating thing down. Since I have had to adapt my eating, I do better with wet dog food, but I also like the crunchy stuff. I really don’t turn down any food. I’m quite the connoisueur of all things edible. If you are looking for a loyal, loving friend I’m your gal. I am spayed, heartworm negative, up to date on all vaccinations, flea/heartworm preventatives and microchipped. I am being fostered in Huntsville, AL but I am available in your area!
