What is comical and charming yet naughty and mischievous? What has one heck of a big personality packed into a small, stocky body? What has a smooshy face, curly tail and can snore like a big, burly man? What will make you belly laugh and smile all the time? A Pug. More specifically, our pug, Odie. Can you believe this handsome little clown ended up surrendered to a high kill shelter? Neither can we but we feel pretty lucky that he became a part of the OMD crew. After all, who doesn't want to laugh every day? You should see how this silly boy has perfected the art of climbing various objects with the grace of a mountain goat, zooming around the yard, playing tug of war with his foster siblings and of course, snuggling. Odie can snuggle like nobody's business. Just 1.5 years old, this guy is a lover of all people, big and small, young and old, and makes it known with snorts (and a bit of barking thrown in), neck kisses and ear nibbles too. While he can have a flair for the dramatic (he is a Pug after all) when initially meeting new canine friends, he would flourish with another playful dog in the home who doesn't take his preliminary blustering too seriously. Baby O is 18 lbs. and has just about perfected his crating and housebreaking skills. Even still, his new family should be prepared for a transition period and dedicated to continued training.
