Facts about Bailey - Adoption Pending!

  • Breed: Chow Chow/Shepherd (Unknown Type) Mix
  • Color: Brown/Chocolate - With Black
  • Age: Puppy
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
  • Sex: Male
This ultra fluffy, smiling goofball is Bailey, a young chow/shepherd mix. He was brought into the rescue as a stray. He's just under a year old, weighs 65 pounds, and is crate trained and house broken. Bailey does great with cats and other dogs, but he hasn't met children yet. We think he'd love kids, but because of his size, we'd prefer a home with kids over the age of 5. Bailey knows basic commands and walks well on a leash. He's a happy, fun-loving teddy bear who's really an all-around clown. Bailey will bring humor, love and cuddles to whoever is lucky enough to adopt him.
Approx DOB 8/2016

About Safe and Sound Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small, foster-based rescue group made up of experienced and passionate volunteers who are trying to better the lives of the animals entrusted to our care. We are always thankful for additional volunteers, fosters and donations. We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Please visit our website, contact us via email for more information, and fill out an application if you are interested in any of our adoptable animals. Meet-and-greets are arranged on a case-by-case basis. We hold our public adoption events at Metro-Detroit area pet supply stores on some Saturdays and Sundays. Please see our event calendar on our website's home page. Events are also posted on our Facebook page, and event details (such as which dogs are expected to attend) will be posted on Facebook.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process is similar to that of most other responsible rescues. There's an application, an interview, a meet-and-greet and a home visit as well as reference and vet checks. We encourage foster-to-adopt trial periods.Official adoption status comes after all requirements (including sterilization) have been met.
