Meet Barney, he is a 2 year old, 16 lb Dachshund mix. What we know so far about Barney is, he was an owner surrender to our local shelter. Barney was very scared after his owner left him behind at the shelter. He was evaluated by the shelters behavior team and they felt he was to scared to proceed to their adoption center. He needed to be rescued to save his life so ahome4spot stepped in and saved his young life. Barney is high energy but does like to chill on the back of the couch, great with other dogs, good with kids, kennel trained, good in the car and so far appears to be house trained. He needs a little work on his leash training as he tends to pull a bit when he gets excited.
