My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Psst...Over here! Um, hi there! My name is Moet and I am a beagle girl who didn't get the best start in life. I think I had a family when I was really little, but they didn't want me anymore and gave me to someone else who didn't really have the time or patience for a puppy. She took me to a shelter when I was just about ten weeks old. I was really scared there and they were going to make me go to sleep forever, when someone from BREW rescued me and took me to my foster home. I love it here! I am learning housetraining (although I'm still just a baby so I do have accidents if not watched closely enough), and I'm learning what toys are all about. Squeaky toys kind of scare me, but I love plushy toys that I can chew on. I'm really good at chewing on my own toys and not anything else that I shouldn't be chewing on. Also, there are some other dogs here that I love to run and wrestle and play with. Another BREW beagle, Moose, lives here, and we are best buddies. He is so gentle with me--we play tug o'war and he lets me bite his ears and tail. I really need another doggy buddy at my forever home. Also, I get scared easily, so if there are kids at my forever home, they need to be old enough or dog-savvy enough to understand how to treat me gently and not scare me. Someday you won't even be able to tell that I was once a scared-puppy, but until then, I will need a family to work with me on trust and confidence--puppy school will be a must for me! Even though I come with a little extra baggage that most puppies don't have, I promise I will be so, so worth it. I am incredibly eager to please, and I love giving kisses. I am the snuggliest puppy you will ever meet and I live to cuddle with foster mom and dad on the couch or in bed. Oh, I am also an excellent car rider and am content to sit in a lap and look out the window. Everyone I meet says I am the most beautiful beagle girl they have ever seen, and then when they see how sweet I am they just fall in love even more. Please let BREW know if you would consider giving me a chance to learn what a long, loved life is like. XXOO ~Mo

Please read our Standards for Adoption, the Beagle Camp Diaries and the information about beagles and puppies before you submit an adoption application. Remember that owning a puppy is a full time commitment and you must have the time to commit to a dog who will be with you for 12-17 years. Beagle puppies are cute - but they are very challenging. Puppies may eat your apartment (no refund of security deposit); people who are gone for more than 5 hours at a time will need to make dog walker, neighbor or doggie daycare arrangements; and for families with very small children, puppies will chew toys, shoes, blankets and hands, feet and other important parts of your child's anatomy.
