My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Howdy! Are you looking for a sweet little guy who would love to be your lap dog and keep you endlessly entertained? You are in luck! My name is Doug, and I am a 1.5-year-old Tibetan Terrier mix. I am only 14 pounds so I fit perfectly on all laps for cuddle sessions, and I am super handsome: you could call me salt and pepper-colored, or black with lots of light highlights. And my warm chocolate eyes will melt your heart.

Fetching Tails Foundation saved me when I was found locally as a stray and my previous owners never tried to claim me. Since moving into my foster home, I have settled in well to my routine of cuddling a lot and playing a lot with my loving foster family. I am shy at first so it take me a little time to trust new friends, but once I know you will love me I will be your best friend forever. My favorite activities including playing with my favorite stuffed-animal toys (I love to toss my toys over my back so I can keep chasing them!) and snuggling on the couch or in bed with my humans while we watch some TV or catch some zzzz's. So I would love a person who wants the whole package: a dog to spend lots of time playing with, but will also be happy to let me curl up on your lap when all my energy is spent.

When I think of my forever home, I think I would love to be your one and only furry companion. I just love all your attention for myself, and have more than enough affection to give you in return. I would also like a human or two who will be patient while I come out of my shell and continue to work on my house manners. I am working hard on potty training at my foster home, but still have room for improvement; I am getting used to a having a potty schedule and have made great strides already! Fetching Tails likes to encourage all adopters to take a few training classes with their new pets, and I think that would be great. It could help me continue to boost my confidence, and I think we would have a lot of fun learning new things together! I would also love for my humans to be home more often than not; like I said I just love being around my people as much as possible!

If a cuddly and funny, snuggly and goofy affectionate little friend is what you have been longing for, please get in touch with my friends at Fetching Tails soon and let them know you would like to give Doug his "happy tail!"

Love and snuggles,
Doug
