Maya is a new addition to the Greyhound Gang of Florida. She is a beautiful dark chocolate, almost black, petite little girl. She is outgoing, fun loving, and affectionate. Feel free to email or contact us (813) 684-4804, firstname.lastname@example.org, or Facebook (follow us!).
We are an all-volunteer group, taking in retired racing greyhounds from the track, from kennels, and shelters. We educate the public on what wonderful pets these dogs make. We do this because of our love for the breed and they deserve the chance at a life in a loving home as a pet.
Come Meet Our Pets...
We show available greyhounds at "meet & greets" every Saturday at area pet stores. Our website calendar advises the timeframe and location.
Our Adoption Process...
When an application is submitted we do a vet check on pets currently in the home, verify home ownership or get landlord approval if renting. Once the greyhound is selected, we take that dog on a home visit to educate and answer questions and to ensure everyone gets along. If all okay, then adoption proceeds. We have a contract and the adoption fee is $250 and is reduced for a senior dog.
Humane America Animal Foundation, dba Adopt-a-Pet.com, is a non-profit, tax-deductible 501(c)(3) adoption advertising charity. Our mission (and passion) is to help
get homeless pets out of the shelters and into loving homes. Let us know what you think! Suggestion & Comment Box

to help you keep track of which pets you've inquired about, and which shelters and rescues you've emailed.
NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter!
Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures,
