Her Foster Mom writes: Since Maura has been in a foster home, we can tell you a bit more about her personality. Maura is very different at home than she in the Care Center; shy and retiring in the shelter, outgoing and confident at home. She sat on her blanket perch and watched me go about my daily activities, sometimes following me around from room to room. She loves to play with her Cat Dancer toy (the best toy in the world no cat can resist). She is very curious and playful, chasing and pouncing on everything, including you! She is very kitten-like, especially in the sense that she wants everything in her mouth. When you''re petting her, she thinks it''s an invitation to play, so into her mouth your hand goes (don''t let her get used to this). Slightly past kitten stage, she''s definitely an adolescent working out her wild oats, so she should settle down as she matures. And, as you can see, she is such a petite and pretty girl, a pewter and white pussywillow waiting to be plucked.

A volunteer writes: Maura is a playful little girl. As soon as you walk near her kennel she tries to engage with you. If cats had a royal name, hers should be Maura the playful. She LOVES treats. Maura is sooooo beautiful! She has such silky gray fur with little white socks, perfect attire for playtime! When you talk to Maura, she listens to every word you say. Are you looking for a forever playmate and a friend to share secrets with? Look no further then Maura. She is waiting for you at the Manhattan Animal Care Center.
