Gunnar came to OOTW STARVING TO DEATH! This dog, who had an owner, was living on a 3-foot chain and was being fed enough to keep him alive. One of our rescuers spotted Gunnar and stopped to see if she could get the owner to relinquish him to OOTW ... and fortunately, he did!

Gunnar is a smaller medium-sized dog. He is a nice dog, but would do much better in a home with less dogs than his foster home. The reason for this is, Gunnar hasn't yet realized he will never go hungry again, and he can be food aggressive to his foster siblings. We are working with him on this and we certainly don't fault him, because he was more than likely fighting for every morsel before OOTW arrived!

Gunnar is working on his house training and does well on leash and also does well on car rides. He has been fully vetted and is heartworm negative! Gunnar is a fairly active boy and a fenced yard will be a must for safe playtime. He does love being outdoors and when the weather is nice, you will find him in a sunny spot, stretched!
