Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm!

Pete is a handsome and VERY sweet boy that was found roaming a neighborhood. We believe he was abandoned by his owners or was lost. Similarly about 2 weeks before this, another kitty we named Parker (see adoptables list) was also found roaming the same neighborhood. Each was taken in by one of our foster homes and, after seeing them together, it was so obvious both kitties already knew each other, given how ecstatic each was at being reunited!!! Both Pete and Parker are very, very sweet and affectionate kitties...they love people --clearly have been socialized with humans-- and love each other and seem so happy to be back in a home together! Both have been altered and given the all clear from the vet to start their search for a new and better home this time.

Because it is clear that Parker and Pete are a bonded pair, we feel they should be adopted together. This is great advantage for you, if you are looking for 2 companions that are very happy, playful, and social kitties ;-) ...We have not seen either around dogs or children but given their friendly nature, we think they will do fine with a slow and proper introduction. We estimate Parker and Pete's birthday to be May 1st, 2016. The total adoption fee for both together is $82.50 for both (and both are fully vetted and good to go).

You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. About Kitty City Kansas Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

You can download an application and read about our adoption process on our website at Kitty City Kansas Rescue is a 501 c3 non-profit, all volunteer - no kill organization. All of our animals stay in licensed foster homes during the week. You can visit our adoptable animals during the week in our foster homes or visit them on Saturdays at Mariposa Vet Clinic in Lenexa. If you wish to visit them in a foster home we ask that you fill out an application first. We also recommend that prior to coming to our adoption center on Saturdays that you complete an application so you can get pre-approved.....who knows, you might meet your purrfect match and want to take them home that day. We specialize in cats and kittens. The majority of our animals come from other shelters that do not have the capability or the room to take care of very small animals that are too young/small to adopt. We then take them into our homes, make sure they are healthy and once they are big enough to be adopted we find homes for them. We can safely spay or neuter kittens once they weigh two pounds which happens around 8-10 weeks of age.
