Rosie's Story...
Rosie is a beautiful young adult female Beagle who made her debut at the HSOV on the evening of June 13, 2017 after a Good Samaritan found her on Montgomery Street in Marietta Ohio and brought her to the safety of our shelter. She was wearing a collar when she entered our shelter and had a 2017 Washington County Dog Tag. We have left a message for her family and hopefully Rosie will be going home soon. We are posting her photo on petfinder/facebook in the event that her family has not received the message that she is in our shelter.

Rosie has a shiny tricolor short smooth coat, a long tail, and an adorable Beagle face with extra-large brown velvet ears and cute brown freckles on her muzzle. This little sweetheart has the wonderful disposition and personality of her noble breed and was a real dollbaby while she had her glamour photos taken.

Rosie weighs 35.8 lbs.

Since Rosie was wearing a 2017 Washington County Dog Tag, she will be held for 14 days to allow her owner ample time to reclaim her. She will be available for adoption on June 28, 2017 in the unlikely event that she is not reclaimed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rosie, a Marietta Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
