Montana's Story...
"If you're looking for an all-around really nice dog, please mosey on over and get to know me. I'm the whole package: loyal, loving, affectionate, and patient. My name's MONTANA, and I'm a three-year-old Lab/ pit bull terrier mix. My owner brought me to the shelter because someone in the home was allergic to me, so now I'm hoping to find a kind person or family who'll be able to love me forever. I get along great with kids and with other dogs. As a matter of fact, my neighbor, Comet, is my good friend whom I used to live with. He and I are BFF's. I have excellent manners, and I've already been house trained. Won't you please come visit me? They have a lovely play yard here at the El Cajon Animal Shelter, so let's go out together and get acquainted. I hope you'll visit me soon. Love, Montana"

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Montana, a El Cajon Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
