Additional Information: Cinderella is on the prowl for her Prince Charming. Luckily it's 2017 and Cinderella isn't focused on gender; her Prince Charming will be whoever saves the day and adopts her. She's a very friendly young lady - every time her foster mom comes home, she pops out from under the bed or whatever other sneaky hiding spot she found, and runs over to say hello. In fact, another adopter came over to meet a different foster cat, but Cinderella actually stole the show with her outgoing personality and received all of the pets and playtime. This little girl is also heartwarmingly happy, she can always be found walking around with her tail up, enjoying life outside the cage.
Cinderella is still a kitten, which means she's very curious and a great climber. She's made ladders out of things that no one knew were ladders (hung up bathrobes, makeup bags, and shelves of drawers). Such ingenuity at such a young age! Once she's done making the apartment her playground, she loves to snuggle up next to her foster mom and go for a snooze and pet session. This girl has it all - will you present her with her glass slipper (adoption application)?
Cinderella has had age-appropriate vetting to date, which includes a veterinary exam, FeLV and FIV testing, deworming, microchip, and the first FVRCP vaccine. An adopter will need to agree cover costs of spaying when she is age-appropriate (usually 16-20 weeks) and will need to continue her kitten vaccines (including rabies) as she grows older.
If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon.

City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is a foster based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. We focus on local adoptions in DC and the metro area of Maryland and Virginia. CDR&CK has a thorough adoption process in order to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first served model).
Adoption fees // Dogs/puppies - $395; $200 for senior dogs // Cats/kittens - $150 (unless otherwise noted)
Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter (unless specified). We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam prior to adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDR&CK. City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
Cat specific: Rabies, FVRCP, Feline Leukemia vaccines. They are tested for FIV and FeLV.
Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Bordatella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis.
Most cats and dogs will have a house training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
We also update our Facebook page daily with new cats and dogs.
