Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Darby was surrendered to animal control after an unfortunate incident with chickens. Darby is a pure breed Dachshund around 5 years old and weighing 17 pounds. He is long with really short little legs. Darby is very sweet, loving and playful. Darby is good with cats, he barks at them from a distance but when meeting a little kitten he was very good and sniffed kitty very thoroughly. Darby is good in the house but needs a little house training - this may get better when he is separated from another male dog in my house.. Darby is crate trained but probably wouldn't mind sleeping with his human. Darby must be an indoor dog and a loved member of the family. He would like a secure fenced yard to explore and sun himself.
Darby is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. He is positive with a medium load of heartworms that is being treated with the proven "slow kill" treatment. He has completed the first round of treatment, and is currently undergoing his second treatment. He can be adopted now and the medication to complete his treatment is provided. . Darby has a $100.00 adoption fee. Please contact Marianne at 2 Many Dogs for an adoption application if you are interested in adopting Darby.
