Paper was rescued with his littermates, Rock and Scissors. You have to play Rock, Paper, Scissors to decide which of these sweet kittens is the cutest, as they are equally adorable! Check out the cute video of the 3 kittens playing...
P.S. Paper & her siblings all have BLUE EYES!

Here's what her foster says about her:
"Paper is definitely the female in the group being the calmest one overall while being playful. She gets scared the easiest but also quickly realizes that it was nothing and "acts cool about it." Absolutely full of cuteness as the video will show."

Paper is a typical kitten...affectionate and playful! She's at a great age to expose her to cat-friendly dogs and gentle children.

If you need some kitten love and snuggles in your life, please submit an application for this cutie ASAP!

Please note that cats adopted through DC PAWS must be indoor only, and may not be declawed.

The adoption fee for this cat is $100. If you are interested in adopting Paper, please submit an adoption application at https://dcpawsrescue.org/adoption-info/adoption-application-cats/.DC PAWS Rescue does our best to provide accurate and complete information about our adoptable animals. Please note that we cannot make any guarantees about age or breed; we rely upon our rescue partners and their veterinarians to make those assessments. We also cannot make any guarantees about housebreaking and animal temperament, as animals can behave differently through transition and in different environments.

Our shelter partners provide a basic vet screening for each animal we rescue, which includes necessary vaccinations, deworming, microchipping, and spay/neuter (unless the animal is too young or otherwise deemed by the vet to not be a good candidate for surgery). Please note that this is not a comprehensive medical exam and as such, may not identify any and all medical issues, though our goal is to flag any obvious health issues through the basic vet screening. We share all medical records with adopters and flag any known issues prior to adoption finalization.

About DC PAWS Rescue

Our rescue is an all-volunteer, foster-based dog and cat rescue in the DC area. We rescue from Pickens County, SC (see additional information below), as well as DC local area shelters, such as Prince Georges County, MD and Wicomico County, MD.

We partner with a local rescuer in Pickens County, SC, who saves adoptable cats and dogs from the county’s animal control facility, which lacks the resources to facilitate adoptions to the public. Without a mechanism for local adoptions, all animals not claimed within the mandated hold period are euthanized. For the animals in this rural area, rescue is really the only lifeline. Our rescue partner not only works with DC PAWS to save as many dogs and cats as possible, but she has also established a successful spay/neuter clinic in the community to decrease the number of homeless and unwanted animals over the long term.

BE A FOSTER:

Fosters make it possible for DC PAWS to save and care for homeless, neglected and abandoned animals! To learn about fostering dogs or cats for DC PAWS Rescue, please visit: http://dcpawsrescue.org/volunteer/fostering/foster-application

BE A SPONSOR:

For any of our animals! Sponsors help us provide critical medical care, food, boarding and other support for animals facing euthanasia. Individuals who sponsor a dog or cat receive special recognition on the animal's profile.  Sponsorships can also be made in honor or memory of a loved one, and you may designate to whom DC Paws Rescue should provide notice of your gift.

About DC PAWS Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

DC PAWS Rescue was formed to serve the interests of animals through activities such as animal rescue; providing sanctuary for abused animals; public education concerning the needs of animals in shelters, positive-reinforcement training for animals; placement of rescued animals in adoptive homes, and other related charitable activities.

Come Meet Our Pets...

At Adoption events listed on our website: http://dcpawsrescue.org/events/ and at foster homes, once an adoption application has been submitted and approved.

Please note that we are an all-volunteer organization and while it is our goal to respond to all emails we receive, we may not be able to do so due to the large volume of emails we receive. We recommend reviewing the animal's profile on our website and then submitting an adoption application as a first step. Thank you for considering adoption and DC PAWS Rescue!

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process entails:
1. An application
2. An interview
3. Vet check (if applicable)
4. Landlord check (if applicable)
5. Home visit

Our adoption fee is $350 for adult dogs or puppies; the adoption fee for senior dogs is $200. The adoption fee for kittens is $100, while the fee for adult cats is $135.
