Meet Lazlo. Lazlo is a yellow lab mix who is just a big goofy boy. He is super friendly and seems to love everyone he meets, no matter who it is. He likes to play with other dogs but likes to get attention from people just as much.

He was obviously someone's dog at one point as he knows sit and loves to play catch. He just slumbers across the yard to get his toy and bring it back to you for more fun.

Lazlo is a decent size dog but not too big-about 55lbs. He is a tall boy with long legs. He's about 3 years old. He always just has such a happy disposition - which just makes you want to smile.

He is currently heartworm positive (not contagious) but please don't let that keep you from meeting him. Scout's Honor is treating him through the "slow-kill" method of treatment and we would be more than happy to discuss it with you.

About Scout's Honor Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Scout’s Honor Rescue is an all-breed, no-kill, Not-For-Profit 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization committed to bringing Courage, Character and Compassion to Houston’s homeless pet population and making a positive difference in the lives of these stray and abandoned animals and the Houston community as a whole. 100% of every dollar donated goes directly to saving the life of a homeless animal.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Scout's Honor Rescue does not currently have its own facility to keep the animals in its adoption program. All animals in our program are fostered by individuals who keep the dog or cat at their residence until it is adopted. Consider opening your home to a dog or cat in need. You become the caregiver to a precious animal – their future is in your hands! It is incredibly rewarding to know that you have given that animal the two most precious gifts- Life and Love. For many of them, this is the first kind hand they have known.

Our Adoption Process...

SHR will require an application and home visit for the adoption of any of our animals. The customary adoption fee is $150 for dogs $85 for cats.
