My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi Wonderful People. Felicity
My name is Fabulous Felicity and I live up to my name every day. Felicity is defined as “intense happiness” and Mom says that is what I bring. I’m a dainty and delectable Bichon mix of about 5, with expressive brown eyes and all the love a little girl can have in her heart. Mom calls me a little Velcro dog. I guess that means I like to be near her; I do like to lie in her arms and rest my head on her shoulders. She holds me like a baby- and I could happily stay like that all day. Dad calls me Super Glue (I think that means the same thing.) And my BFK Aunties say that I’m 10 pounds of love and fun in a very cute package.
In my foster home, I have lots of foster furkid friends, big and small. We get along fine, and I’m even happy to have the company sometimes, but I don’t always pay much attention to them. I would rather just be with my people and am happy to do what you want to do. Go for a stroll? Great! Mom says I walk beautifully on a leash. Ride in the car? Why not? Just say the word and I’m ready.
Besides being sweet, affectionate, and incredibly cute (!) I’m also SMART. I have learned the household routine already, am already housebroken and working on mastering the doggy door. (It’s bigger and heavier than I am!) After a day of walking, riding and hanging out, I go to sleep in the Big People’s Bed so I can cuddle for all I’m worth! And that’s a lot!!!

Did I mention that I like to be the center of attention and that I liked to be touched and held?. Mom calls me the best companion ever. Doesn’t that sound great? I think so! While I’m very adaptable and affectionate with the people I know, it does take me a little while to get to know you. New people can be a little overwhelming to a little girl like me! (As you can imagine, I’m so cute that people always want to hug me and pick me up …that makes me nervous until I know them! Once I do, I make up for it with lots of kisses and cuddles.) I am also initially kind of anxious in new situations, but if you give me a little while to take it all in, I go back to being my adorable self.

Like most of my bichon brethren, I don’t do well being left alone for hours on end so I would be happiest in a quieter home where someone is around most of the time and maybe has another doggie companion to keep me company if you have to go out.

So if you are looking for a sweet, gentle and loving companion who brings “intense happiness” please ask for me, Felicity. I’ll be waiting for you.

Tail wags and gentle kisses,

Fabulous and Friendly Felicity
