SWEETIE NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Sweetie    Best Guess for Breed: Doberman Mix

Best Guess for Age: 1-2 years old as of 5/25/17    SEX: female

Approximate Weight: 38 lbs.

Has Lived With: other dogs, cats

Currently Living at: DC Foster Home - Sweetie needs a FOREVER home.

Special adoption considerations: Sweetie is a sweet but shy lady so she need to go to a home with a second dog to help bring her out of her shell. She will be best in a home without young children.

Sweetie is a beautiful 1-2 year old Doberman mix. She weighs about 38 lbs and Needs to gain some weight to be healthy lady. Sweetie and her sister, Girl, were abandoned in a Petsmart parking lot but thankfully our wonderful shelter partners found them and committed to bringing them to the D.C. area  where they can find the loving homes they deserve.

Sweetie will need exercise and playtime each day to be a happy and healthy pup. She would love to go on long walks and regular trips to the dog park. After she's tuckered out, Sweetie loves curling up for a nice nap and belly rub. She can't wait to go to obedience training with her new family so that she can bond with her people and become her very best self!

Sweetie is good with other dogs so she'll be a great addition to an existing pack. She is doing great with her feline siblings in her foster home.

Like most shelter dogs, Sweetie may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.

The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Meg at megh@luckydoganimalrescue.org!

About Lucky Dog Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Lucky Dog Animal Rescue is a group of highly motivated and highly dedicated volunteers. We spend countless hours making sure that wonderful dogs find loving forever homes. We don't do it for money -- we do it for the joy a dog can bring to its new family; we do it for our love of animals; and we do it to save lives!

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at www.luckydoganimalrescue.org.

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!
